It’s been very curious to me that Plandemic has circulated – in my social media circle, anyway – mainly through Christians. Is this more cultural backlash stemming from years of the fear of man? Frightened believers in North America didn’t seem to think they had a voice in a Liberal-dominated culture until Trump was put into power with his disdain for media and his support of Christianity.
Now in the middle of COVID, believers are eagerly drinking up conspiracy theories with an air of “take down the man,” with Plandemic appearing the most plausible. Can’t blame Trump for this one, folks – you did this on your own. 😉
If something is true, it will stand. I’m not opposed to dissenting opinions, in fact I favour them. But these are then to be scrutinized. This is a time to be held accountable to the standard the Bible lays out for us in terms of legal process and truth finding. I remember the words of Gamaliel when the Pharisees were up in arms about Jesus Mania (thank-you, Tim Rice): “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” –Acts 5:38-39 NKJV
Let the conspiracy theorists talk, and then let their words be examined. If they’ve hit truth, God will bring it to light. Having said that, remember –
“Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread.” – Isaiah 8:12-13 NKJV
Where is your trust? Who do you believe is sovereign over the age, and who do you believe is mighty to save and to bring truth and righteousness to pass? Watch out for the spirit of fear. God’s hand is stronger and more active than you think, and He isn’t shy about offending your opinions of how things should go.
“He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.” – Proverbs 18:13 NKJV
The Bible says if we come to a conclusion and react without hearing the entirety, it’s foolish and embarrassing.
The fact that the videos are being taken down from social media platforms is not proof that the people being accused refuse to answer to facts. It might be they are afraid the information will cause people to act out destructively. If this wasn’t a medical crisis where lives are at stake I’d be more suspicious – but before we go around declaring lives aren’t at stake, we need to hear medical and scientific data and compare it to opposing medical and scientific data.
“The first one to plead his cause seems right,
Until his neighbor comes and examines him.” – Proverbs 18:17 NKJV
The people in these interviews are going to be very convincing, and so will the people at the head of the organizations being accused. We need to hear both out, more than once, because it’s only in examining people’s words and holding them accountable to facts – measurable, verifiable truth – that we begin to know whose cause is just. It’s not enough for a conspiracy theorist to say “they are lying.” Bring us facts and evidence to substantiate your claim, because if the accused have data to refute you, it’s reasonable for us to assume you are in error. God will provide us with evidence for any important truth.
“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” – John 3:20-21 NKJV
If the Plandemicists are telling the truth and are walking in light, they will welcome back and forth dialogue. They will welcome facts and fact checking. If the doctors and organizations the film criticizes are walking in the light, they will bring forth relevant data and answer to the accusations. A failure from either party should arouse our suspicions.
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”” – Ephesians 5:11-14 NKJV
If any of us know of some evil being done, we are called by God to expose it. I’m taking this scripture out of context because I believe the principle is far-reaching. God is a lover of truth and righteousness. By all means, we are to tell the truth and expose lies! I watched the first Plandemic video, and why shouldn’t I? I’m curious.
I am also going to look into it and seek evidence that they are telling the truth. It’s not truth just because someone suspects it, or someone connected the dots and now you are convinced. Let it be examined. Light isn’t about feeling, light is about honest and accurate exposure. Spiritually this happens through Christ. Naturally this happens through science, investigation, and hearing the reports of multiple witnesses from every side of a debate or trial. This is so scriptural I shouldn’t have to say it.
“One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.” – Deuteronomy 19:15 NKJV
God isn’t saying a matter is established based on two or three opinions or stories. Wisdom assumes that the testimony of each party will be examined and held accountable to fact and evidence.
I am concerned that believers would be so ready to believe evil of the rich and powerful (who they fear) that they would then repeat as fact the accusations of one woman, one group, without examination. I am concerned that we would encourage each other and the masses to go against medical advice, when people can die and are dying. When lives are at stake, how much more should we hold our peace and examine facts before acting out? When lives are at stake we err on the side of caution. By all means, if it turns out to be planned (a horrible thought) or the start of some one-world government takeover, let us acknowledge it and examine it in the light of facts. To react without hearing the whole thing out and requiring evidence from both sides, is Biblical and literal foolishness. In fact, to “react” at all outside the spirit of peace is unwise. Don’t just react – pray. What’s God saying?
My concern is people are merely bored, shell-shocked, and tired. They want answers to soothe and rescue them from their sense of powerlessness. That’s why we need to learn to trust in God: so we aren’t vulnerable to creating answers where there are none.
“He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.” – Proverbs 17:14 NKJV
Beloved, be careful how you speak.
